What is Precious Gift?

A Precious Child collects donated new toys, gift cards and gifts for children (babies through teenagers) the most in need in the community . We want every child to experience those most treasured memories of being a kid such as experiencing the joy and anticipation of unwrapping new gifts.

When does Precious Gift take place?

Precious Gift is taking place November 6th to December 8th 2023.

Who are these gifts going to?

Disadvantaged and under resourced children living in Colorado who without A Precious Child and YOUR generosity may not have gifts for the holiday season.

What happens when I select 'make a monetary donation' for the child?

That child will be added to your cart and then you can choose to add more children if you would like. Once you are ready to check out, you will click on the shopping cart button in the upper right of your screen. Then you will see those children listed and you will proceed to payment. Your donation of $50.00 for each child sponsored will allow A Precious Child to provide that child with gifts for the holidays. You will have the option to add an additional financial gift here too!

What happens when I select to 'purchase items' for this child?

That child will be added to your cart and then you can choose to add more children if you would like. Once you are ready to check out, you will click on the shopping cart button in the upper right of your screen. Then you will see the children you have selected. You will then proceed to check out. You will then be emailed a receipt that will list all of the details about the children you have decided to purchase gifts for such as their age, gender, their gift wishes, the child code, and when the gifts are due back to A Precious Child. Please check your junk email for this receipt.

Do I need to purchase everything on the child's wish list?

You do not need to purchase everything on a child's wish list, however, we ask that total gifts are valued at $50.00. For most children in the Precious Gift program, these gifts will be the only ones they receive this holiday season.

Can I purchase items online?

You can absolutely order items online, but please follow these instructions:

Include the Child Code (Ex. BHHS114) on the shipping address and on the gift receipt.

When should I drop the gifts off?

There is a drop-off deadline listed on each child's profile and on your email donation receipt. Gifts are distributed shortly after the deadline date so a timely drop-off at A Precious Child is extremely important to ensure that child receives their gifts!

Should I wrap my gift?

We ask that all gifts come unwrapped. We want to empower the caregivers of the children receiving gifts by providing them with wrapping paper so that they know what their child is receiving and to have the opportunity to be part of this joyous gift giving occasion. Please donate wrapping paper too!

Where and when do the gifts need to be dropped off?

All gifts should be dropped off at A Precious Child, 7051 W. 118th Ave., Broomfield, CO 80020. We are open Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM 5:00 PM. All gifts need to be dropped off no later than the date indicated on the child's wish list.

What if I can still see the child I sponsored on the store website?

Unfortunately, the system we use is very cache-heavy. This means that on your browser, you may still see the children you chose even after the check-out process and you have the receipt in your inbox. Please know that anyone else on our site will not see these kiddos and if by chance they do, if they try to sponsor this same child, the system will not let them.
